ally, Dalton and Phoenix have created a project with Abolitionist Futures to combine creative workshops and art, with abolition. They’ve run workshops across Leeds on transformative justice, using activities like collage making with editions of The Abolitionist (an abolitionist journal created in the 1980s that you can read our archived editions of here).

Dalton has collaborated with Bent Bars, a collective that he was in touch with during his own time in prison. Keep an eye out on our website for his upcoming articles about his experience collaborating with the collective!

As part of this project, we put out a call for applications to create one of 5 commissioned posters, inspired by themes explored in The Abolitionist. We were overwhelmed by the amazing submissions we received.

On 29th June we want you to join us for the unveiling of these amazing posters and for an afternoon of abolition and art! There will be snacks, art materials and good vibes! Come spend some time with fellow abolitionists and enjoy some space to be creative!

We’ll also hear about some other projects across the UK.
