Another year, another reading group!

We like starting our fresh new diaries and calendars with a new reading group! In a year of continued state violence, workers striking for their rights, and most of us having less than we had last year, if you’ve been wondering why prisons and police are what we are being sold as a solution, then join us.

Sessions will be held on zoom starting 17th January 2023, every second Tuesday evening (7.30 pm - 9:00 pm - UTC/GMT). We usually start the call together, then break out into smaller rooms with a facilitator in each group to discuss the readings, and then return to the larger call. We will have six sessions covering the readings:

17th Jan 2023   Session 1: Introduction to Abolition

31st Jan 2023   Session 2: What’s wrong with reform?

14th Feb 2023  Session 3: Feminist, Queer, Antiracist Abolition

28th Feb 2023  Session 4: Policing, Anti Racism & Abolition

14th Mar 2023  Session 5: Transformative Justice

28th Mar 2023  Session 6: Everyday Abolition
